Herbal Pharm Rx and Tweedle Farms Sample Products

Recently, we were sent a bunch of samples from Herbal Pharm Rx and Tweedle Farms. A myriad of CBD isolate, flower, CBG and other rubs, ointments, edibles, buds, doggie treats, pre-rolls, wax and combination tinctures besides CBG isolate and CBN oil.

I had started to review each Tweedle Farms product but decided to put them all in this posting.

Every flower based product received from Tweedle Farms came in above what we are used to getting locally. The pre-rolls were all superb in strains such as Lifter, Suver Haze, Elektra and a 1 gram wax/shatter that only added to the strength of cone or the smokeable you choose to use it with. Every product was above 18% CBD concentration with rich terpene profiles and a great number of Cannabinoids for all their given purposes. If you want a great site for raw flower in any size in many strains with full information about each strain, this is a great site for you. The wax is an almost given purchase with any flower or even in its own. All lab reports are right there on the website as they are very transparent and don’t hide anything from current or new customers.

The CBG:CBD tincture was great since it was only a 15ml tester it didn’t last too long for me but was excellent in numerous ways. I had excellent sleep falling into deep sleep for more than 3 hours a night which I normally don’t do for more than 30 minutes a night. In addition to the amount of sleep, my generalized anxiety was way lower when stressed out at work and my pain level was incredibly manageable with NO painsomnia in its combination of 20:1 CBD to CBG of 250mg CBD only and I require way more CBD than that normally so the blend of CBG was indeed perfect which goes to show you that you do not require much CBD when there is CBG mixed in the tincture in a 10 or 20:1 combination where 20:1 is most common. So to make it last, after I used up the 250mg 15ml tincture, I bought the 30ml 1000mg CBD:CBG tincture and it’s lasted well over 2 months so far and again, I’m in deep sleep far more than I’m used to with all the extra added benefits of high concentration full spectrum CBD oil.

Now with Herbal Pharm Rx, we received many a product to test and possibly carry in the future. In no particular order, we received 2 unnamed 1 gram pre-rolls in nice sturdy wrapping to both keep them fresh and protected from bends or kinks, 1 1000mg CBD freeze balm good for deep massage without getting all over your hands and not coming off. If you place it on sinus cavity exit points and trigger point and rub it in, it helps with sinus headaches, Occipital Neuralgia related headaches and any other things you can think would benefit from a CBD pain-relieving freeze balm. Then we got a 2000mg CBD roll-on with menthol it feels like and is excellent for topical application for muscle joint and nerve pain with a higher CBD concentration than the balm. It’s a large 3oz bottle with a roll on applicator. It says to use up to 6 times a day, I think 4-5 is enough for me which means 4 for the average person without a chronic pain issue. The next product is a 5000mg CBD isolate tincture in Lemon in MCT oil that is great for everything and at 5000mg, 30ml will last you forever. That’s 166.6mg per dose (per ml basically) so each dose is between 100 and 150mg as you never get a full pull on the tincture. The next product is a 30 pill 300mg CBD bottle labeled Sleep where each pill is 10mg with added 3mg of melatonin. Now you know I’m not a fan of supplementing melatonin because the more you supplement the less your body makes naturally but during winter months, having the extra 3mg is beneficial as there is far less sunlight to help your body synthesize vitamin D into melatonin. Personally I take 2 tablets during the winter months for that added benefit. The next product were all natural doggie treats that are 10mg each that you can eat if you wanted as there are no surprise ingredients in them. I don’t have a dog so I have them to my cousin who has a dog and he said that their dog has been calmer and more relaxed and less rambunctious but they usually give him 2 at a time. To me I think it’s better to take a doggie treat versus oil because it’s hard to get a dog to keep it under their tongue for extended periods so it fully works… The last product is an Awake formula that is 30 pills, 25mg CBD per pill and 200mg caffeine per pill as well. As someone with afib, 200mg is just too much for me so I’m giving this bottle to one of my coffee loving work mates and have them review them for me. The person I have in mind loves their coffee do much that they would probably open up the capsule and mix it into a large cup of already strong coffee. So if you are waiting for a review of that, I’ll have it soon. And the last product is both a novelty and good for tea: CBD honey sticks. Each pack is 10 10mg CBD honey sticks and they are very sweet, organic and make any tea that much better with just the perfect amount of CBD.

I am awaiting a package of CBN from another company so stick around as I’ll have that soon with an accompanied review soon after.

Be well.

Insomnia after One Week with New Ayurvedic Solution and Weighted Blanket

It’s been a long week and I should have written this 3 days ago but I didn’t have the weighted blanket before more recently than that. So here is the review of both.

The truth over the past 2 nights is that the Ayurvedic Solution isn’t totally what’s working. The tincture sucks up too much Valerian root versus all the ingredients.

I’ve been taking 3 bottles of other ingredients separately and adding the 3000mg full spectrum CBD oil manually.

I chose to take Kava Kava, L-Theanine, Passionflower and the CBD/CBN combination.

It was giving me more sleep than I’ve gotten in a while and when I added the cooling weighted blanket (15lb), both of us slept better as well. Stacey gets more sleep than I do but here is more broken up. She wakes more often she tells me and that it might be the over the bed speakers that pay binaural beats and isochronic audio to enhance brain wave activation. They are Sonos Bluetooth speakers that I ran the power cables up the wall corners to obviously hide it since I couldn’t run it through the wall.

If you have Amazon Prime, make use of the binaural and isochronic music available there and make a playlist of those tracks. It’s included with your Prime subscription so why not use it.

Be Mindful, Meditate, practice good nutrition and hygiene, set a wake up and sleep time and adhere to them no matter how tired you are, you must stay awake until your designated sleep time because one tiny nap can ruin sleep.

Ayurvedic Sleep Formula – Constantly Refining…

So the original formula worked very well and was quite effective giving an Insomniac like me, who is used to 1-3 hours (if any at all) of sleep for the first night. Using a 15ml dropper and herbal extracts plus CBD isolate only, I put in 2ml of Kava Kava, L-Theanine, Valerian Root and Passion Flower (left out the Chamomile as I had chamomile tea that night) each so that’s 8ml leaving 7ml left over which I filled with my CBD isolate until I was satisfied the bottle was full to the point where it could still be shaken to be mixed well. I took 4ml (4 1ml dropper fulls)

The first night, I got around 7 hours (rounding up from 6.7 hours) of sleep waking up when there was light outside which had confused me! So I figured that since it worked like this the first night, I wouldn’t change anything. The second night was not the same and that was completely my fault. Before bed, what I thought was decaffeinated chai tea was in fact caffeinated and kept me up. I still managed to get 4 hours and a few minutes which I’m pretty much used to. The difference besides the aforementioned tea debacle was the first night I didn’t a considerable amount of time in both REM and deep sleep pattern sleep phases. 2 phases I rarely go into spending most time in light sleep.

The 2nd night I spent less time in deep sleep, some time in REM sleep but mostly in light sleep. Obviously you might be asking, “how do you know what phase you were in?” I use the Fitbit Charge 3 for sleep tracking and the Charge 2 before it. I’ve since received a Muse 2 unit for review/testing today but don’t plan on using it quite yet.

I have yet to have a similar night as the first night. Since then, I got a new shipment of 99% pure “high quality” CBD crystalline (isolate). 1 gram equals approximately 1000mg of CBD and CBDa. With the new 30ml tinctures I received (2 for now) I put 1 gram in each tincture. The crystalline refused to break apart in liquid easily especially after vigorous shaking with the liquid extracts already added but eventually everything broke down and was absorbed. I increased each dose of each extract to 4 1ml droppers and this time used the Chamomile extract totaling out at 20ml of extracts, 4ml of 4 different terpenes, 1ml each which ended up going the bottle with everything except the CBG and CBN.

Tonight is the new night with new isolate, new dosages, new additions such as the Terpenes, new larger sized tincture, etc. Tonight will be interesting. I will go back to how this all started which was adding chewable magnesium pills to my sleep regimen tomorrow night if this doesn’t change anything tonight.

So I will report tomorrow how all 5 extracts, 4 terpenes and CBD isolate faired in getting me to sleep and keeping me there as well as what sleep phases I was in and for how long. The goal is above 5 hours with more time spent in REM and deep sleep. Deep sleep is the most body-rejuvenating sleep phase there is.

Stay tuned.

Sleep and Pain Relief – Hopefully My Last Night As An Insomniac..

After a lot of research on the matter regarding sleep and painsomnia (pain that keeps you awake or wakes you up so you can’t go back to sleep) could become a thing of the past.

I have bought many products for the e-store in order to make our own sleep tonic and pain relieving tincture as the ingredients in each tincture are good for both.

We are using a combination of extremely pure 2000mg/g CBD isolate, 1000mg CBG oil and CBN additive for the Cannabinoid portion of this product.

In terms of the herbal side, the most beneficial non groggy ingredients being used are also the most powerful OTC ingredients for sleep: L-Theanine, Passion flower, Valerian root and Kava Kava in a certain mixture combination within a 1 ounce dropper tincture which ends up being .5grams CBD isolate, .1g CBG and CBN, the rest of the ingredients are terpenes, herbals and fractionated MCT (coconut oil).

Obviously to protect our product we won’t share the concentrations of terpenes or which ones they are for now and herbals but know that in the combination they are in on paper have worked for me in testing and I have a terrible case of insomnia and have had it over 15 years. Kava Kava extract is pretty magical when mixed with L-Theanine (an amino acid synthesized by the body into GABA and GABA proteins which are then used for sleepiness, relaxation and even pain relief).

The final addition of CBG and CBN being so new to the market are the hidden factor of “hmm, what can we do best with this” so I tested CBG and CBN products for about a month dialing in a combination that worked great for pain so in terms of painsomnia this handles that side of not being able to sleep or stay asleep.

All of our ingredients are measured on a digital scale with milligram/milliliter accuracy using medical grade utensils for mixing ingredients.

Stay tuned!
